will celebrate 22 years in 2015!
Get ready to celebrate the 22nd year of Dog Days of Denton, Texas’ original festival for pooches and their people, is a celebration of man’s best friend. Festival hours this year are Saturday, September 26th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Texas State Fairgrounds, 2217 N. Carroll Blvd., in Denton.
Best and formerly known as the Dog Days of Summer, the Dog Days of Denton Celebration is in its 22nd year. Some of our usual highlights include: contests like Canine Couture Costume Contest, Pet Tricks, Dancing with the Dog Contest, How Obedient is Your Dog and Dog Singing Contest, as well demos by Dallas Dog ‘n Disc, and the chance to try the agility course by Dallas Working Agility Group (D.A.W.G.) with donations going to Leader Dog Project; Pet Tricks and Dog Singing contests; and the popular Spokesdog Pageant (must be entered in advance – see Forms & Application page – DEADLINE IS SEPT. 12TH). During the event check-out the hand-crafted arts/crafts for pets and people, pet care products and information, and general products and services for your home and pet.
